Grief is Complex Series - Ep. 2 Understanding What is Normal
In this episode, Eileen discusses the ways that understanding that grieving the loss of a child can be more intense and can last longer than other kinds of grief can help us to grieve with hope. When we recognize that there is no timeline to our grieving process, and don't take on the expectations of others for where we "should" be in our healing process, we can be gentle with ourselves and allow ourselves the time we need to heal.
Eileen discusses the five remedies for pain and sorrow that St. Thomas Aquinas discusses in the First Part of the Second Part of the Summa Theologica.
